Standard Efficiency Systems

Great for homeowners on a budget
Meets energy code requirements
Simple, reliable comfort
Lower upfront cost, shorter payback

High-Efficiency Systems
Save 20–30% on energy bills
Quieter operation, better humidity control
Smart thermostat compatible
Qualifies for rebates or tax incentives
Perfect for add-ons, garages, or homes without ductwork
Energy-efficient zoning
No major renovation needed
Ductless Mini-Split Systems
Ductwork Matters Too
Don’t Replace the Engine and Ignore the Pipes

Your ductwork plays a huge role in system performance. If it’s undersized, leaky, or unbalanced, even the best system can’t keep you comfortable.

Not Sure What Type of System You Have? We’ve Got You.
Before you request a ballpark estimate, here’s a quick guide to help identify your current HVAC setup. If you’re still unsure—don’t worry. We’ll help you figure it out.
Heat Pump System
Cools in the summer, heats in the winter—all in one unit.
Often paired with an air handler
Outside unit runs in winter and summer
Thermostat may show "Aux" or "Emergency Heat" in cold weather
📝 Tip: If your outside unit runs when it’s cold, you probably have a heat pump.
Straight A/C with Furnace
A traditional setup: cooling from the A/C unit, heating from a gas or electric furnace.
Two separate components
Outside unit only runs in summer
Furnace (usually gas) handles winter heating
Inside unit has vent piping running to an exterior location
Gas bill increases during winter time
📝 Common in homes with gas appliances
Package Heat Pump (All-in-One)
One outdoor unit provides both heating and cooling.
Usually located outside on a slab or roof
No separate indoor furnace or air handler
Used in both residential and light commercial
outside fan will run in heat
common in homes with crawlspaces
📝 Look for one large box outside with all components inside it.
Gas Pack
Cooling from the A/C side, heating from a gas burner—all in one outdoor unit.
Like a package heat pump, but uses gas heat instead of electric
Popular in certain older homes and mild climates
outside fan will not run in heat
common in homes with crawlspaces
📝 If you see a large outdoor unit with gas lines running to it with an exhaust port - most likely a gas pack
Mobile Home / Manufactured System
Specialized HVAC setups designed for manufactured housing.
Often vertical units inside closets
Smaller ductwork and footprint
Usually labeled as “mobile home approved”
📝 If your home is a manufactured or mobile home, it likely requires specific rated equipment.
Ductless Mini-Split System
Efficient, quiet heating and cooling without ductwork.
Indoor wall-mounted units connected to a small outdoor unit
May have multiple indoor units for different rooms (“zones”)
Remote-controlled and often Wi-Fi/smart compatible
📝 If you have a small, rectangular unit on the wall in each room (no vents in the ceiling or floor), it’s likely a ductless mini-split.
